YOUNG dancers will experience the hard work needed to put on a contemporary dance show thanks to an annual dance project. The 50 youngsters, aged 14 to 18, from schools in Lewisham and Greenwich start an intensive week of workshops tomorrow.
This leads up to two public performances at Bonnie Bird Theatre, Laban, Creekside, Deptford, on December 15 at 2.30pm and 6.30pm.
The ninth Christmas Youth Dance Project is jointly run by the Greenwich Dance Agency (gDA), Laban and Union Dance.
Laban education and community programme officer Veronica Jobbins said: "The young people gain confidence, make friends and take away a sense of achievement."
