A FLAGSHIP Greenwich landmark has cemented its position as one of the capital's favourite tourist attractions.
The National Maritime Museum, King William Walk, Greenwich, has been named Large Visitor Attraction of the Year by Visit London.
And it was a double celebration for the museum, as gallery assistant Jim Bloomfield scooped the Outstanding Customer Service prize.
Award judges said they were impressed by the level of customer care, care for the environment and community interaction shown by the museum.
Museum director Roy Clare said: "We are delighted to be recognised for our excellent public services.
"We look forward to welcoming more people here to participate in our many programmes in the coming months."
Visit London is a private company funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Mayor of London, to promote tourism in the capital.
