A SPECIAL full council meeting has been called to discuss parking issues in a borough.
The extraordinary meeting of Gravesham Council will be held on December 12 at 7.30pm.
The meeting was called by leader of the opposition Councillor Mike Snelling.
Controversy has been caused by the closure of Lord Street car park, which lost the borough 600 parking spaces.
Residents and shopkeepers say getting parked is difficult and having a knock-on effect on trade.
Council leader Councillor John Burden said: "We are having a special meeting which is going to cost us a lot more to organise.
"A lot of what Cllr Snelling says is impractical and I will explain why at the meeting.
"I am hoping it's not going to be used for personal attacks."
