SHOPPERS are being encouraged to spread a message of goodwill this Christmas by donating gifts to disadvantaged youngsters.
While buying presents for friends and family, visitors to Bluewater are being asked to leave an extra gift at the Giving Tree.
All presents collected through the event, which has been running for the past two years, will be given to Dartford-based 121.
The charity helps disadvantaged children, aged between six and 16, across west Kent.
Director of 121 Suzy Messenger said: "We will ensure every gift donated will be given to a child in need.
Gifts can be left at the tree, situated in the blue welcome hall, next to Marks and Spencer, until December 16.
The charity wants to recruit volunteers to give a few hours of their time each week to help children. For information, visit the website youthbefriending.co.uk
