THE former chief inspector of schools visited a school to open its new library.
Chris Woodhead helped to cut the ribbon and read books with the children at Breaside School, Orchard Road, Bromley.
The library was an old boys' changing room until £15,000 was spent to renovate it, providing a new roof and floor.
It has replaced the school's old library, which was only big enough to hold half a class of children.
Headteacher Nigel Kynaston said: "The library provides an excellent addition to the school resources and has already proved to be a popular place for Breaside children."
Friends of Breaside Association chairman Vanessa Metcalf helped Mr Woodhead open the library.
