HARMONY was the key word as youngsters from the borough sang with visitors from Africa.
Hayes Primary School's Small Choir was joined on stage by the African Children's Choir, at a concert in the school last week.
The pupils from the school, in George Lane, Hayes, sang a friendship medley and themes from TV programmes.
The African's Children Choir is made up of 30 children who have lost a parent from disease or poverty.
Different children are selected for the choir each year and the money raised from the concert will help children across Africa.
Teacher and concert organiser Louise Green said: "It was fantastic. Both groups of children really enjoyed singing with each other and we raised more than £1,000 for African children."
The Small Choir's 30 members will join an expected one million children at venues across the country for the Big Sing on December 9.
They will try to break the Guinness world record for the largest single choir in the UK.
