OLDER people can get money back on energy bills to help them through the winter.
Age Concern is offering a payment worth three hours of gas heating to people aged 60 and over.
The Age Concern Energy Services tariff is funded by energy company Powergen and available from December 1 to February 29.
A spokesman said: "Insufficient heating can greatly increase an individual's susceptibility to hypothermia and other illnesses.
"Our package is designed to meet the needs of older people."
Age Concern also recommends regular cups of tea or coffee to keep warm but not to boil more water than necessary.
