THE hospital team responsible for caring for the patient dubbed the Piano Man has won a national award for the second year running.
The Willow Suite at Little Brook Hospital, Dartford, has been named Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit team of the year by the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care Units.
Staff at the unit care for people with acute mental illnesses with the aim of helping them return to their communities as soon as possible.
Ward manager Ramanah Venkiah said: "To win the award two years running is just fantastic and demonstrates the high quality of care delivered by the team.
"It has made sustained improvements and changes while managing to maintain a high standard of care at all times."
