PLANNING officers are still debating the height of a Sikh temple's boundary walls after planning regulations were broken three months ago.
Gravesham Council's planning committee had hoped to reach a decision about the Gurdwara's boundary walls at a meeting on November 16.
The council ordered builders to down tools in August after the walls, off Khalsa Road, were built above the maximum height of 2m.
When building work was halted the walls stood as high as 2.4m. Planning permission was applied for retrospectively and officers could demand the walls be demolished.
A council spokesman said: "It was clear from the site visit on October 22 a compromise could be reached but the final details still needed to be resolved."
Officers hope to have reached the final verdict later this week.
