A WOMAN has been killed on a pedestrian crossing as she walked her dog in a Bexleyheath street.
Julie Hartford, 48, of Glenview, Abbey Wood, was hit by a white van as she crossed King Harolds Way near its junction with Bedonwell Road.
She was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, where she died from her injuries.
Her dog died at the scene.
The van driver was taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, where he was treated for minor injuries.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed to return to Bexleyheath police station in March next year.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred just before 7am on November 24.
