RESIDENTS can now find out how their council is spending their taxes.
Sevenoaks District Council's latest statement of accounts lays down where the council spends its annual £16.1m budget and where the money comes from.
This year, council tax will contribute £7.1m to the council's budget, Government grants total £5.4m and £1.2m in interest comes from £2.4m of council savings.
Money spent includes £2.6m on community and housing and £1.9m on waste collection.

To put forward your views on how the council presents its statement of accounts, complete an online questionnaire at sevenoaks.gov.uk
