MUMS are more clued up on recycling than dads, according to a new survey.
Figures collected from 11 to 18-year-olds in Bexley by Recycle for London show 72 per cent of mums recycle rubbish while only 22 per cent of dads get involved.
But 73 per cent of the young people asked said they thought their parents or carers should do more.
And asked how more people could be persuaded to recycle, Bexley's youngsters said they would tell people how easy it is to do.
Bexley has kerb-side collections for glass, paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and cans and household waste for composting as well as more than 60 mini recycling sites and two re-use and recycling sites.
The borough has been set a recycling target of 37.5 per cent of rubbish for this year.
