A CENTRE for first aid volunteers won the most awards at a charity's county-wide ceremony.
Volunteers based at the Gravesend Red Cross Centre, Pelham Road, Gravesend, won seven awards at the Red Cross Volunteer Awards for Kent.
The group took home awards including certificates of appreciation for first aid duties, volunteer trainer of the year and certificates of commendation for emergency response.
Members of the group were also awarded a fire victim support shield, a certificate of appreciation for equipment loan service and a badge of honour for outstanding service.
Volunteer trainer Ann Holland said: "It was because we are one of the largest centres and one of the best."
