A CHURCH threw open its doors and ushered in the Christmas season with its annual festive bazaar.
Gravesend Methodist Church, in Milton Road, laid on a spread of hot lunches and stalls to raise funds to help pay for its running costs.
Bric-a-brac, cakes, toiletries, jewellery and gifts were all on offer.
The church also provided a children's activity room.
While youngsters took part in face painting and a lucky dip, adults indulged in a selection of hot food and drinks served up by church members.
Around 200 people attended the event, which raised £1,660.
Bazaar co-ordinator Robert Hardy said: "It went very well. Everybody seemed to pick up bargains and have a good time."
