A FOOTBALL spectator was taken to hospital and another arrested as violence marred Dartford FC's match against AFC Wimbledon.
The injured man was taken to Darent Valley Hospital with cuts to his head after a disturbance in the Dartford supporters' end on Saturday.
Police and stewards intervened and six people were ejected from the ground, in Stonebridge Road, Northfleet.
Club chairman Dave Skinner dismissed the incident as a small part of a great afternoon of football, despite a 0-0 draw.
He said: "There was a brief incident which was dealt with by police.
"These people are not football fans and were out to cause trouble.
"We want this sort of behaviour stamped out.
"It's infuriating one incident on a great afternoon should spoil it for fans."
Spencer Glanfield, aged 35, of Cottswold Road, Surrey, was charged under the Football Act after allegedly throwing an object from the stand which landed next to the pitch.
He was released on bail and will appear at Dartford Magistrates' Court on December 1.
