A CHURCH has an unusual gift suggestion for anyone who is stuck for ideas this Christmas.
Between £50 and £100 will buy a replacement stone for the 14th-century tower at St Nicholas Church, Church Street, Southfleet.
The present includes a photo of where the stone will be used on the tower.
A certificate of sponsorship and a photo of the stone in position on the tower will be sent once building work starts next spring.
The church needs to raise £20,500 before the building work can start.
It has already raised £148,000 so far.
Church secretary Jan Becket said: "There are lots of people in the Dartford and Gravesend area who have had connections with the church over the years.
"This is a way they can leave their contributions to the history of the church."
