AN INVESTIGATION is under way after a man was left fighting for his life following an attack outside a pub.
The man, who is in his 50s, was assaulted outside the Electric Orange, Plumstead High Street, Plumstead, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He was taken to hospital with head injuries.
As News Shopper went to press his condition was described as "critical" and "life-threatening".
Two men who were arrested on Saturday were released on bail, to return on December 9.
Police say they are keeping an "open mind" on a possible motive. Anyone with information should call Plumstead CID on 020 8853 1212.
