THE council leader has written to the Government asking for a better deal for the people of Bromley.
Councillor Stephen Carr is campaigning for a fairer share of government funding and a review of the system.
Next month, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), which deals with local government budgets, is expected to announce how much money each local authority will get.
In terms of the main grant given to every council to maintain services, Bromley is expected to get £1,169 per head of population.
Only Richmond and Havering are expected to get less, according to the Institute of Public Finance.
Cllr Carr says this means the council will not receive enough money to cover inflation for the fourth year running.
He says he wants a fair deal for the people of Bromley and added: "Of course funds must be directed to areas of greatest need but time and again the people of Bromley miss out."
