CHILDREN will no longer be able to pass on their old toys to sick children to play with.
This year, Holy Trinity Church, Hurst Road, Sidcup, has told children they can only bring new toys to its annual toy service, because of the fear of passing on infections.
The service will be held in the church at 10am this Sunday.
Afterwards all the toys will be given to the children's ward at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.
The new toy rule has been introduced at the request of the hospital.
But the church says children are determined it will not affect the number of toys given.
The service will also include a nativity play by the children and afterwards the congregation will be invited for coffee in the parish hall.
