NO CHARGES: No charges have been made against shooting victim Francis Byrne, aged 48, and his son, also called Francis, in connection with an incident in Thamesmead in September. Mr Byrne and his son, both of Bexley Village High Street, had been bailed to return to Plumstead police station after they were arrested as passengers in a stolen car with three other people.

COMMUNITY GOALS: Seven Charlton Athletic players have signed up to be ambassadors for the club's community work. Luke Young, Darren Bent, Jonathan Fortune, Chris Powell, Bryan Hughes, Matt Holland and Darren Ambrose will represent the club at community events across Greenwich, Bexley and north Kent.
