IT WAS time for fitness instructors to have a taste of their own medicine.
Employees at Bexley's leisure centres took to the streets, exercise bikes and a football pitch to raise cash for Children in Need.
About 30 employees, boosted by some of the customers at Bexley's three swimming and leisure centres, started their busy week with a sponsored walk from the Lamorbey swimming centre, Station Road, Sidcup, to Erith sports centre, in Avenue Road.
After recovering from the walk, the intrepid fundraisers took part in a three-hour spinfit session on exercise bikes at the Lamorbey centre.
And if this was not enough exercise for one week, there was also a five-a-side football tournament.
On Sunday, the exhausted but triumphant staff were able to hand over £2,000 to the appeal's Pudsey Bear.
