Do you want to move to a more manageable home? Does the idea of downsizing appeal to you?
Council tenants who want to move into a more manageable or smaller home can benefit from financial incentives which councils such as Bromley are paying people who give up their unused and excess space.
According to property website Housing Outlook there is plenty of extra space going spare. It surveyed owner-occupiers and found a third of them had significantly more space than they need.
Bromley Council is working in partnership with housing associations in the area to offer £1,000 for each bedroom in the home you give up, plus all your removal costs and an additional grant of £300.
Housing Association tenants living in Bromley could all be potentially eligible for the cash incentives If you are interested in moving into a smaller accommodation contact the Housing Initiatives Team to discuss your options, call 020 8313 4307 or email housing@bromley.gov.uk.
