ASIAN and African musicians will team up with arts students thanks to a £4,340 cultural grant.
The money from the South Greenwich Cultural Opportunities Fund will be ploughed into Kidbrooke Arts College, to help establish an orchestra for girls.
International music group ShivaNova will be introducing students at the school, in Corelli Road, Kidbrooke, to different music-making styles during a series of workshops over the coming weeks.
The aim is to establish an all-girl orchestra, which will play at the school's Christmas concert on December 14.
A school spokesman said: "It is crucial for our students' development to play alongside professional artists.
"It's great they will form an ensemble for parents and staff to appreciate."
