YOUNGSTERS at one Bexley school have been using their spare pocket money to help children less fortunate than themselves.
The children at Barrington Primary School, Barrington Road, Bexleyheath, have been bringing sweets, toys, pencils, crayons, puzzles and toiletries to school to pack shoeboxes for the children's charity 21st Century Child.
The pupils managed to fill almost 100 boxes, which were collected by the charity last Friday.
Last year 21st Century Child distributed more than 20,000 shoebox presents to children in Bosnia and Romania.
This year it is aiming to hand out 50,000 presents.
