A BLACK man who was bitten, stripped to the waist and racially abused by two hoodies' says the attackers "make him sick".

Stephen Thompson was left writhing in a pool of blood after the assault at Mottingham Station, Court Road, Mottingham.

Now the 25-year-old has spoken of his ordeal, saying he is determined not to let the hooligans win.

Former British Telecom worker Mr Thompson was waiting to catch a train home after visiting a friend, at around 9pm on November 13.

The two hooded youths glared at him and chased him down the platform.

They were armed with a kitchen knife and a screwdriver.

The attackers then dragged their victim into bushes at the side of the track before subjecting him to a horrific assault.

Mr Thompson said: "I could sense by their body language something was going to happen.

"I was trapped in the bushes and they kicked me in the face and bit me.

"Then they stripped me of my jumper and trainers and left me in just my jeans and socks.

"Afterwards they walked off casually as if nothing had happened. It makes me sick."

Mr Thompson says the yobs racially abused him and yelled "get out of the country".

They left him lying on the ground bleeding heavily, with severe bruising to his face and bite marks on his ears.

He then staggered back to his friend's house before being treated for his injuries at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich.

Now back at his home in Tooting, south London, unemployed Mr Thompson says he has nothing but contempt for his attackers.

He said: "I feel like I want to get revenge but it would bring me down to their level.

"I'm still in shock but I'm not worried about going out at night. If I stayed in I would be letting them win."

Mr Thompson says the men were both wearing hooded tops.

One is around 23, 5ft 7in tall and was wearing a green hoodie.

The other is around 18, 5ft 4in tall and was wearing a black hoodie.

It is also believed a second man was attacked at the station on the same night.
