A HAPPY marriage is all about trust, according to a couple who celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary on Saturday.
Former cleaner Rose Stevens, 82, and her former railway worker husband Fred, 80, of Haven Close, Sidcup, will celebrate 60 years of marriage at Footscray Social Club, Cray Road.
The couple will enjoy a party with 30 friends and family members.
They have three children, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs Stevens said: "The secret to our happy marriage is we have always trusted each other and never had any secrets.
"We have always worked together to get through our problems."
