A CHARITY Christmas appeal has been launched to bring some seasonal cheer to needy children and pensioners.
The Pass the Parcel appeal is a joint effort between the Salvation Army, ITV1's This Morning programme and retailer Superdrug.
The appeal has been running for seven years and concentrated on Britain's needy children.
However, this year it has been widened to include homeless people and the elderly for the first time.
People are being asked to drop off new gift items suitable for a child, pensioner or someone who is homeless at a Superdrug store, where they will be collected by the Salvation Army.
There are Superdrug stores in The Mall, Bexleyheath; Sidcup High Street and Upper Wickham Lane, Welling.
