POLICE wanting to speak to a man in connection with the murder of his Belvedere housemate have put him on a "most wanted" website.

Detectives hunting Sukhdip Singh Cchina, 23, have already offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of the person responsible for the death of Falwinder Singh Badesha, 27, who was stabbed to death at his home in Holmshurst Road, Belvedere, on September 21.

Appeals for help during the BBC's Crimewatch programme brought a disappointing result, with fewer than 10 calls.

Mr Cchina shared the Belvedere house with Mr Badesha and two other Indian men and it is believed Mr Badesha was stabbed following an argument at the property.

Mr Cchina disappeared shortly afterwards.

Police have appealed to Indian communities in Greenwich, Gravesend, Dartford, Ilford, Southall and the Midlands, where Mr Cchina has connections.

They have also put out an all-ports warning in case he tries to leave the country, although Mr Cchina left his passport behind.

He is around 5ft 9in tall and, at the time, had a cut on his forehead.

A man and a woman were arrested last month for perverting the course of justice in connection with the case and are due to report to police tomorrow.

Anyone with information about the case can call the incident room on 020 8721 4805 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

The new "most wanted" website has been set up by the crime charity Crimestoppers and has already signed up 11 of the country's police forces, including the Met.

So far it has details of 22 people wanted by police.
