A EUROPEAN cookery day for adults has kick-started a series of culinary courses planned for the new year.
Students put on their aprons at Gravesend Adult Education Centre to whip up dishes ranging from a flour-free chocolate cake to Italian chicken and fennel.
The Around the World one-day course marks the second time in 10 years a cookery lesson has been run at the centre in Darnley Road.
Demand was so high there was a waiting list for the course.
The centre is planning to offer healthy-recipe cooking in the new year and a chocolate-making day in time for Valentine's Day.
Programme manager for healthy living Michelle Bramble said: "People are looking for inspiration."
