FASHION FUNDRAISER: The Orpington Friends of Cancer Research UK raised £4,000 through a number of events, including a fashion show. They presented a cheque to Cancer Research UK representative Lucy Kelly, at a ceremony in Broke Hill Golf Club, Sevenoaks Road, Halstead.
TREK CHALLENGE: A charity night in aid of Cancer Research UK International Treks, will take place on Friday in The Greyhound Inn, Commonside, Keston, at 8pm. Jess Whittall, a former employee of the pub, will trek in Peru next May. Call 01689 856338.
GLORIOUS GLORIA: The Orpington Chorale will perform excerpts from Vivaldi's Gloria on December 3. The event in St Olave's School, Goddington Lane, Orpington, begins at 7.45pm. Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £5 for children under 12. Call 020 8769 1272.
CHARITY FAIR: The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin is holding its annual Christmas fair in Hayes Village Hall, Hayes Street, Hayes, on Saturday. The fair runs from 10am to 3pm and proceeds will go to several charities. Admission is 50p.
DRINK UP: The NHS Retirement Fellowship (Bromley & District Branch) is holding a coffee morning in the United Reformed Church, Widmore Road, Bromley, from 10am to noon. Call 01689 855383.
