CUT ABOVE: You can learn how to coppice trees this Sunday with members of the Lesnes Abbey Conservation Volunteers. The technique will also help people to deal with overgrown trees in their gardens. RAISING FAIR: The Smerdon Resource Centre for adults with learning disabilities is hosting a Christmas bazaar at the centre in Lumley Close, Belvedere, this Saturday from noon until 3pm. The money raised will pay for Christmas entertainment and a present for each of the centre's clients.
WILD TALK: Marek Borkowski, who has appeared on television with Bill Oddie on wildlife programmes, will give an illustrated talk on wildlife protection in his native Poland, to Bexley RSPB this Friday at Hurstmere School, Hurst Road, Sidcup, at 7.30pm.
TRUST MEETING: Queen Mary's Hospital, Chislehurst Road, Sidcup, holds its next trust board meeting in the Ash Room at its training centre next Tuesday from 9.30am. The public is welcome.
DROPPING IN: Father Christmas will be arriving with his reindeer at Brampton Primary School, Brampton Road, Bexleyheath, at noon this Sunday to help at the Christmas fete.
QUITE BAZAAR: All Saints Church, Nuxley Road, Belvedere, holds its Christmas bazaar in the church hall this Saturday.
