BARS and pubs which fail to stamp out disorder will face tough action under a £2.5m government scheme.
The scheme, introduced to combat trouble arising from changes to licensing laws, will see an increase in police presence.
Kent police officers will target establishments which fail to control trouble-making customers.
The scheme will run until December 24 and includes the issuing of fixed penalty notices for alcohol-related disorder and will target underage sales.
Kent police strategic crime head, Chief Inspector Steve Hansford, said: "We understand some members of the public are concerned about the impact the new laws will have on their community.
"Kent police will continue to work with partner agencies and licence holders to ensure licensable activities are conducted in a responsible way."
The new laws will come into effect from tomorrow.
