AN ARTIST exhibited his vibrant craft pieces at the weekend.
Michael Connell, who is a floor screeder by day, brightened up St Lawrence Hall, Bromley Road, on Saturday.
More than 20 people turned up to see his 4ft to 8ft works made from materials ranging from glass and wood to sash cord.
The 50-year-old, whose day job entails creating perfectly flat floors, studied spatial design at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and was also a founder member of Lewisham Arts House.
Mr Connell hopes to exhibit his pieces at the Tate Gallery one day.
The father-of-four of Daneby Road, Catford, said: "It was a successful day, and I hope it will be the first of many exhibitions in the future."
