CHRISTMAS cheer was in the air as families and friends attended an annual church fair.
Members of St Nicholas Church, Church Street, Southfleet, hosted the fair to raise money for the general upkeep of the building.
Visitors feasted on jacket potatoes and shepherd's pie and browsed a variety of stalls, including a tombola, toys, cakes and crafts.
Children were greeted by Father Christmas at the fair, which took place on Saturday in the village hall, Dale Road.
Several hundred people attended the event raising more than £1,600 towards the annual £50,000 running costs of the church.
Rose Waghorn, a member of the church's parochial council, said: "It went very well indeed, it was a lovely day and we were very busy.
"The lunches were very popular and the cake stall sold out quickly."
