A GROUP of schoolchildren have ditched the times tables and found a more unusual way to learn maths.
Pupils from Lucas Vale Primary School, Thorneville Street, Deptford, performed a musical based on the subject of mathematics.
Children performed routines designed to teach them more about angles and measurements.
The 75 pupils, aged between nine and 11, put on their final performance for the rest of the school's pupils and teachers last week.
Headteacher Alexandra Hardy said: "It is a very unusual project. It has certainly helped the children, both mathematically and musically."
