A MOTORIST had to be cut free from the wreckage of his car after smashing into a parked Highways Agency truck.
Firefighters from Gravesend and Swanscombe took an hour to release the man from his black Lexus car after the smash on the London-bound A2 near Pepperhill.
The driver, a 28-year-old man from Greenhithe, was taken to Darent Valley Hospital before being transferred to an Essex hospital for treatment for leg injuries.
Thousands of commuters suffered morning rush-hour delays of up to two hours following the accident at around 1.25am on November 17.
The Highways Agency truck was being used to transport traffic cones.
A spokesman for Gravesend Fire Station said: "The car was underneath the lorry and the man had to be cut out of the wreckage."
