YOUNG people got the opportunity to sample what life was like during the Second World War.
Age Concern Greenwich organised an information day at its charity shop in Sherard Road, Eltham.
Twelve youngsters listened to memories of people who lived through the war.
They were told tales of rationing and being evacuated.
At the end of the day resource packs containing stories of people who lived through the war were given out to the pupils who came from Lewisham Bridge School, Elmira Street, Lewisham, and Negus College, Old Mill Road, Plumstead.
An Age Concern spokesman said: "It was an educational experience which gave students an insight into what life was like during the war."
