LEARNERS and teachers have been rewarded for their outstanding achievements at an awards ceremony.
The annual Greenwich Education Awards saw 87 lecturers, teachers, students and governors receive recognition for their hard work.
Awards were handed out for excellent exam results, commitment to the school community and to students who have overcome adversity to succeed.
Among the winners were twin brothers Joseph and Sean O'Neil, 16, who passed 10 GCSEs at Woolwich Polytechnic, despite both suffering from cerebral palsy.
The winners were presented with certificates at a ceremony at Charlton Athletic FC's home ground The Valley.
Greenwich member for lifelong learning Councillor Angela Cornforth said: "Each award we make is representative of the hard work which takes place in our schools every day."
