A MAN allegedly indecently assaulted a woman before falling through a Perspex roof as he fled from police.
The incident happened at the Asda shopping centre, Broadway, Bexleyheath, at 3.23pm on Monday.
Officers asked the man to stop but he ran up a loading ramp to the car park close to the junction between Broadway and Graham Road.
Three minutes later he fell into the shopping store below where he sustained critical injuries. A woman was also seriously injured by falling debris.
The black man was flown to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition'. The woman's condition has been described as serious'.
The Director of Official Standards and the Independent Police Complaints Commission have been informed and will be investigating the conduct of the officers involvement.
