CHILDREN clowned around with numbers when they enjoyed a maths week.

Bubbles the Clown visited Belvedere Infant School, Mitchell Close, Belvedere, as part of events.

The children played games, solved problems and followed maths trails near the school.

They were also entertained by a magician and a storyteller.

Deputy headteacher Linda Homer said: "The children had great fun as well as learning maths is an important part of everyday life."

The school holds two special subject weeks each school year.

The next one will be about design and technology.
