YOUNG people who sign up for leisure and sports discounts online can win freebies in a bid to encourage them to get out more.

Bromley Mytime, the charitable organisation which works in partnership with Bromley Council to provide Bromley's leisure services, is offering prizes to anyone who signs up for the Connect card.

Connect is a free leisure card for 11 to 19-year-olds which acts as a library card and offers discounts at Mytime leisure and sports centres.

Recent competition winners went to see an adaptation of Susan Hill's horror novel, The Woman in Black, at the Churchill Theatre, High Street, Bromley.

Head of education for the theatre Julia Potts said: "The Churchill Theatre's partnership with the Connect scheme has been a great way to encourage further interest in the theatre among Bromley's young people."
