healthcare scientists are visiting pupils in the borough to raise awareness of careers in their field.
Many different scientists, including biomedical scientists who carry laboratory tests, help doctors treat disease.
They also include cardiac physiologists who research heart equipment such as pacemakers.
Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust's senior chief technician Martyn Bucknall will visit Langley Park, in Hawsbrook Lane, South Eden Park Road, Beckenham.
He will give demonstrations on cardiac and respiratory clinical measurements as part of the careers week, running until Sunday.
He said: "This is an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of healthcare science as a valuable, challenging and rewarding career opportunity within the area's schools, our future workforce."
