ASUCCESSFUL youth band is bringing favourite film scores to life this Sunday but its bandleader warns this may be the last concert unless more youngsters get involved.
Musicmasters are led by top saxophonist Alan Holmes (pictured). The 20-piece band range in age from 12 to 18 years old, with a junior band for the under 11s.
Alan was a member of the Kinks for four years and played with the Beatles he can be heard on Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. He also played on the Boomtown Rats' No1 hit Rat Trap.
The concert includes music from the Star Wars and James Bond films. A troupe of dancers adds visual spectacle to the evening.
Alan is urging young musicians to join the band.
He says: "It is the quickest way to get better and it's fantastic fun.
"Young people get to play with professional musicians and perform music they like," he adds.
Music from the Movies by Musicmasters, November 20, the Mick Jagger Centre, Shepherd's Lane, Dartford, 7pm, £10/£5 concs, 01322 291100.
