THE end of Diwali and Ramadan brought a community together at a celebration of diversity.

Community leaders, Orbit Housing residents and staff ate a variety of food and enjoyed traditional music at the association's offices in West Street, Erith.

Orbit staff wore their national dress and saris and other clothes were available for people to try on.

Chairman of the Orbit staff group Liam Nagle said: "We are working to raise awareness and promote diversity at the Orbit Group.

"This event helped us to develop links within the community and reinforce the idea equality and diversity are part of our culture and values."
