CHILDREN learned more about keeping safe at a day-long workshop.
The Junior Citizen event at Beckenham Place Park, Catford, taught youngsters aged 10 and 11 more about issues such as fire safety and coping with bullying.
Groups including the police, fire brigade and Network Rail ran information stands.
And St John Ambulance staff encouraged children to learn about first aid and the recovery position.
St John Ambulance schools co-ordinator Kate Stevens said: "We hope the children came away from the event with the ability to potentially save a life."
Hither Green St John Ambulance is looking for youngsters to become cadets.
