RESIDENTS are set to get their say on where they would like to see money spent in their area.
The Locality Fund is a £5,000 community chest made available to each residential ward, under a pilot scheme introduced by Lewisham Council.
The money can be spent on anything from hanging baskets and cycle racks to improving facilities for young people.
Councillors will be encouraged to meet regularly with residents to discuss what projects they would like to see the money invested in.
The £5,000 may be spent by each ward or neighbouring wards can pool their cash for bigger projects.
Lewisham Council says it will assess the impact of the scheme after its first year, before deciding whether to continue with it.
