POLICE are appealing for information on the whereabouts of an Irishman in connection with the discovery of bones in woodland.
Kent Police's major crime department has confirmed the bones found on October 19 in Horton Wood, near Fawkham, belonged to a man and say he may have had a debilitating back problem.
Investigators believe the full skeleton, found by workmen, could have belonged to a well-known resident from the area, Patrick Folen.
Mr Folen, also known as Paddy, lived in Church Road, West Kingsdown, for a short time and was reported missing in November 1995.
Police would like to speak to the family of Mr Folen, or anyone with information about him, in a bid to further their investigations.
Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 654860.
