A MINISTER who cycled 977 miles in aid of charity is asking sponsors to send in their cash.
Gravesend Methodist Church's Reverend Andrew Lindley set off from Land's End to John O'Groats on August 8.
The grandfather-of-two hoped it would take no more than three weeks to complete his trip but after completing 610 miles to Edinburgh, he fell over a vase and needed nine stitches to his right foot.
It delayed the journey by five weeks and he arrived in John O'Groats on October 4.
He said: "Damaging my foot was the worst part of the trip. I had an excellent time but have no aspirations to do it again."
Anyone with outstanding sponsorship can make cheques payable to Gravesend Methodist Church Sponsorship Project.
Send them to Robert Harding at 16 Fairfields, Gravesend, DA12 4AG.
