A BELATED bonfire night went with a bang as fireworks lit up the sky over a school.
Thousands of people watched the display at Crofton Infant School, Town Court Lane, Orpington, last Friday.
The crowd was entertained by music from an old-time music organ before the show and munched on barbecued hot dogs and burgers.
Parent and Staff Association committee member Vicky Reed said: "I think it was a very successful event and everyone had a good time, both young and old."
The annual event is a joint fundraiser for Crofton Infant School and Crofton Junior School.
Last Friday was the closest day to Guy Fawkes' Night the professional display team were able to run the show.
