BECKENHAM PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
John Wigmore recently gave a talk to members explaining the advantages of going entirely digital, unfortunately he was preaching to the converted, as the great majority of members have already converted.
John commenced his presentation by listing the following advantages; No outlay on film, one memory card can be used indefinitely, one memory card covers all types of film i.e. slides, colour prints and black and white, images can be produced without the need for a darkroom or chemicals, the quality of digital cameras is such that only one camera body and lens needs to be used - a considerable reduction in weight!
John ended the presentation by showing a selection of his work and demonstrating that the quality of digital photography matches that of traditional photography.
